Bhrigu Lake is a lake located at an elevation of around 4,300 metres in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh. It is located to the east of Rohtang pass and is around 6 kilometres from Gulaba village. It can be reached by trekking either from the Vashishth temple, which is famous for its hot water springs, which is close to the town of Manali or from Gulaba village. Actually there is no settlement in Gulaba and is actually an area of the Pir Panjal mountain range. It is named after Maharishi Bhrigu.
Legend has it that the sage used to mediate near the lake and hence it has been rendered sacred; the locals believe that due to this the lake never freezes completely.

Day 01:- Manali – Gulaba ( 2 Hours Drive )
From Manali drive to Gulaba, the road head place from where the trek starts. There is a traffic barrier of National Green Tribunal at Gulaba. 30 minutes trek from road to campsite. It is a small open place amid thick silver oak and pine forest. After lunch you have a free evening in the campsite. Dinner and Stay at tent.

Day 02:- Gulaba – Rola Kholi ( 4 Hours Trek )
After breakfast our trek start to Rola kholi. First hour is steep ascent and then gradual ascent till campsite. Rauli Khol is a wonderful campsite on high mountain meadows. It looks like a deep saucer whose brim is broken from one side. Small streams fall from high cliffs that surround the campsite and gush down from the broken side. Stay at camp.

Day 03:- Rauli Khol – Bhrigu lake (14000 ft ) – Pandu Ropa ( 6 Hours Trek )
The trek is uphill on a moderate slope for first one hour. Then you traverse across the slope for next one hour. Finally, a steep climb of one hour brings you on the shore of Bhrigu Lake, high on a mountain ridge called Bhrigu Tung. You feel a spell of divine vibrations here. The view around you is mesmerizing. Stop here for a while and then trek further down the southern flank of the ridge to reach at Pandu Ropa after two hours. This is an open meadow above the tree line. Stay at tent.

Day 04:- Pandu Ropa – Vashishath ( 4 Hours Trek ) – Manali ( 30 minutes,Drive)
It is a jungle walk. Steep descent from Pandu Ropa to Vashishath village winds through a dense forest of Birch, Rhododendron, Maple, Silver Oak, Wild Cherry and Pine. The trek ends at Vashishath village which is famous for its natural hot springs. The water has medicinal values as it contains sulphur in it. You can have a hot water dip in public pool here that will relieve you from your tiredness. Drive to Manali.
